First Bible Baptist Church had its first service Thanksgiving weekend in 1961. The founding pastor was Rev. Denver Turner. He and his wife, Mabel spent 55 years working for the Lord, leading souls to Christ and helping others through their life trials and storm. Rev. & Mrs. Turner had 11 children, 47 grandchildren and when they passed 78 great-grandchildren. They had a little over 200 people in their family. They took the scripture to heart when God said to multiply. Rev. Turner passed away April 26, 2014 and Mabel passed July 14, 2017. They both loved the Lord with all of their heart. Rev. Turner was a compassionate and firm leader of the church. He did not waste the money or time that God gave him. They are both greatly missed.
Our church congregation is small and we are looking for a pastor to lead us.
